Limescale is one of the most common problems in our homes, and the effects of its presence are visible in a variety of situations: water marks on glass and dishes, dirty taps and surfaces, and appliances that malfunction and lose their efficiency. For all these reasons, combating and reducing the formation of limescale becomes essential: the softener is a safe solution that ensures optimal results immediately and, depending on its size and technical characteristics, can be installed in flats, single houses, apartment blocks.

Designed to be easily programmable and quick to install, Aquarius is the proportional automatic volumetric water softener characterised by a small footprint: its small size makes it particularly suitable for confined spaces and all situations where keeping dimensions to a minimum is important.

 

What are the advantages of installing an Aquarius cabin water softener?
 

Aquarius 1, with its compact dimensions, is the preferred domestic softener when space is at a premium.

Limescale can cause inefficiencies in systems, lead to increased energy consumption and reduced water flow, increase corrosion phenomena and encourage the growth of bacteria. Scale and lime deposits can also damage appliances, make surfaces dirtier and more difficult to clean. For all these reasons, combating limescale and preventing it from forming is essential: the system will be more efficient and durable, the surfaces cleaner, the water lighter.

 

How does the Aquarius 1 softener work?
 

Aquarius 1 features a brine sump configuration that is closed at the bottom to prevent dirt and impurities from entering. High efficiency is ensured by a multifunctional control head managed by an electronic timer/volumetric control that periodically regenerates the filtering bed with a salt-saturated solution. Its newly developed electronic valve saves salt and water (max. 120 g salt and approx. 5 litres water per litre of resin). The Aquarius 1 automatic water softener runs water through a bed of strong cation resin to exchange calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions. The resin thus traps the ions responsible for the formation of scale and limescale deposits, considerably reducing water hardness.
