K-Matic

K-Matic is a device that transforms the cleaning procedure of the Hydra self-cleaning filter series from manual to automatic, keeping the cartridge clean on a regular basis.

K-Matic allows the programming of filter drain openings and the duration of each individual opening, ensuring optimal operation of the entire system.

How does K-Matic work?

K-Matic is simple and compact and must be connected to the bowl drain using the brass swivel fitting in the package.

The K-Matic valve has an intuitive, easily programmable, easy-to-read interface. It needs no electricity: a simple 9V battery is enough to allow the valve to function and do the job for you.

The Safety Stop function allows the valve to close in the event of a low battery, and the manual flushing function can help if excessive dirt requires extra cleaning.

How often should K-Matic be set up?

The frequency of the self-wash must be set according to the quality of the starting water, the type of dirt and one's own needs: water rich in impurities will require more frequent and longer washing; conversely, less dirty water will require less frequent and shorter cleaning.

In automatic mode, the interval between two valve openings and their duration are programmable according to the following options:

Interval - 12h, 24h, 7, 15, 30 days

Duration - 10”, 20”

Each opening of the valve is followed by a second opening with a fixed duration of 3", which is useful to make the flushing more effective.

Considering that the K-Matic settings depend on the amount and type of dirt in the water, it is possible to give a rough indication of the opening times and intervals between washes:

K-Matic: with which products is it compatible?

It is compatible with all Hydra series products and Hydra Rainmaster (excluding Hydra Big and Hydra Hot series products). This solenoid valve can also be combined with all filters equipped with an outlet with 1/2" BSPP M threaded connection.
